Staffing / recruiter verification
Use public filings to quickly sanity-check whether a sponsor looks real, active, and consistent.
Filings present in the latest year(s), not only long ago.
Multiple filings across roles/locations that make business sense.
Salary medians align with market expectations for the role/location.
Some PERM history can be a signal of long-term sponsorship behavior.
No H1B/PERM filings in your timeframe for the company name you were given.
Very high volume with extreme spread across unrelated locations/roles can warrant extra diligence.
Offered pay far below what filings show for the same role/location.
Non-technical signals: urgent payment requests, threats, or refusal to share basics in writing.
- Search the employer on H1B Companies. Open the profile.
- Filter applications by your role + recent year(s). Check salary and decision mix.
- Cross-check on PERM Companies for a long-term sponsorship signal.
Disclaimer: This is not legal advice. Public filing history is useful for research, but it doesn’t guarantee future sponsorship.
